Death Row Dogs
Before and After

These dogs deserve the best because they have lived the worst.

Almost all of our dogs come from local animal controls.  We visit and evaluate the dogs and leave with as many as we can, depending on funds and foster homes.  The photos on this page are just some of the dogs that we are hoping to save. To be clear: These dogs are NOT on "Death Row" at FLDR.  These are the dogs we are hoping to save FROM local animal control shelters, puppy mills, or are being surrendered to FLDR.

All of the dogs on this page that are in shelters are available ONLY to rescues because of their medical or behavioral issues.  The public can't adopt them directly from the shelters.

Rescue is their only hope!

There are more.

Will you help us free a dog now?  You are able to see pictures of the life YOU helped save - with your name and the dog's picture posted right here on this page. You are able to see quickly the life that you saved, and follow their progress to foster care, adoptable dogs, and then adoption into a loving furever family!

Simply click any of the "Donate" buttons, donate $75 and you'll see the first photo of the dog you saved.  Please also consider saving a dog as a unique gift for a friend who loves dogs.  Just include their email address and we'll note that this generous gift of life was made by you, on behalf of your friend.

THANK YOU for acting now to save these dogs!

For just $75 you will guarantee one of the desperate dogs at Animal Control (or awaiting intake from a puppy mill or owner surrender) will "escape" into one of our loving foster homes where we will provide the medical care, emotional recovery and comfort the little dog needs until we find them their furever home.

Just to be clear: We want to SAVE these dogs.  FLDR does not have a Death Row, and once with us dogs are NOT in jeopardy of being euthanized.  Please read the entire page and info before sending us hateful emails and voicemails accusing us of wanting to kill dogs:( We are working hard to save them, but are limited financially, which is why we need Angels. Thank you!

Currently at Local Animal Controls or Awaiting Owner Surrender

Most of these dogs, and many more, need immediate rescue at Animal Control, or are awaiting surrender, right now! We are eager to save them.

For only $75 you can save a dog, which includes a fee to animal control to "pull" the dog (if applicable), an initial exam at our vet's office and to our groomers for emergency loving care. These dogs can never be placed up for adoption at Animal Control, as their conditions (medical or behavioral) require immediate care. Others, just needed immediate surrender by their owners to FLDR for immedicate care, especially as local shelters are turning surrenders away. For just $75 you can provide them with that immediate care.  We are their only hope!

If the dogs below are marked "saved" please know your donation will be applied to the next dog that needs us, and we receive many more "Please save them" requests from Animal Control and for surrenders each day!

Some of these dogs, and many more like them, are at Animal Control right now! We are eager to save them.

These dogs deserve the best because they have lived the worst.

All of the dogs above that are at animal controls are available ONLY to rescues because of their behavioral or medical issues.  The public can't adopt them directly from their shelter.  Rescue is their only hope!

 Saved By An Angel!

These dogs have been saved thanks to YOU! They have been released to our vets for medical care, have been groomed, and placed into foster care, where they are being loved and rehabilitated emotionally and physically thanks to YOUR donation! Thank YOU!!

Keep an eye out for these Florida Little Dogs on our "Adoptable Dogs" page, as we DO NOT answer questions about adoption of any pup who is not listed on that page, as they are not yet medically or behaviorally cleared.

Please note, we are not a shelter. We do not have a kennel or facility that you can visit and see all the dogs. Each dog is fostered in an individual home. We do rescue out of our private homes and in our spare time. So, you cannot come visit our dogs until you have gone through the application and interview process and we have contacted you about scheduling a visit.  We do not have set "hours" and we answer all calls and emails as quickly as we can!
